In 17th century Joseon Dynasty, a group of slave hunters chase after a runaway convict and get tangled in a love triangle. They are also drawn into political intrigue and conspiracy as they seek justice and uncover corruption. The story follows the tragic hero as he fights sword fights, encounters double agents, and joins a slave rebellion.
