The Miniaturist is a TV mini-series set in 17th-century Amsterdam. It follows the story of a female protagonist who has recently been married off to a wealthy merchant. She receives a dollhouse replica of their house as a wedding gift and starts receiving mysterious lifelike dolls from a secretive miniaturist. These dolls seem to foretell future events and reveal hidden secrets. As she unravels the mystery behind the miniaturist and the dolls, she realizes that her life is much more precarious than she initially thought.
