The Day of the Triffids (1981)

In this post-apocalyptic TV show, a comet passes by Earth, causing all plants to undergo genetic changes. A new mobile carnivorous plant called Triffids starts growing, and they can move and communicate with each other. They attack humans, causing blindness and chaos. A group of survivors tries to find a way to fend off the Triffids and protect themselves.
