She Was Pretty tells the story of Kim Hye-jin, a formerly beautiful and confident girl who becomes ugly and awkward as she grows up. Despite her appearance, she manages to secure a job at a fashion magazine and encounters her childhood friend, Ji Sung-joon, who has become handsome and successful. Hye-jin decides to undergo a makeover to regain Sung-joon's attention, leading to a series of comedic and heartwarming situations.
