In the year 1717, wealthy land-owner Stede Bonnet has a midlife crisis and decides to become a pirate. However, his attempts to become a swashbuckling buccaneer do not go as planned. This comedic and adventurous series follows Stede as he becomes the captain of the pirate ship Revenge and struggles to earn the respect of his mutinous crew. His fortunes change when he has a fateful encounter with the infamous Captain Blackbeard. Together with his crew, Stede embarks on a journey to survive life on the high seas.
