Nanami Momozono, a high school girl who has been abandoned by her father, is faced with eviction after her landlord gives up on her. One day, she saves a man from a dog and he gives her his house as gratitude. However, she soon discovers that the house is a shrine and the man she saved is actually a yokai fox spirit named Tomoe. As Nanami becomes the new land god, she must learn to navigate the world of spirits, gods, and yokai while also dealing with her growing feelings for Tomoe.
