Buso Renkin follows the story of Kazuki Muto, who is killed while trying to save a girl. However, he is revived by a mystical alchemical device called a Kakugane, which takes the form of a giant lance. With his new powers, Kazuki joins forces with other alchemists to battle humanoid monsters known as homunculi and protect the world.
