Angel Beats! is set in the afterlife and follows the story of Otonashi, a high school boy who lost his memories. Upon awakening, he finds himself in a strange school-like setting, where he meets a girl named Yuri who invites him to join the Afterlife Battlefront, a group of rebels fighting against an angel named Tenshi. As Otonashi learns more about the afterlife and the reasons behind his presence there, he becomes entangled in a bittersweet story of friendship, tragedy, and self-discovery.
