Axel Foley returns to Beverly Hills to help Taggart and Rosewood investigate Chief Bogomil's near-fatal shooting and the series of 'alphabet crimes' associated with it. Foley discovers a connection between the robberies and a man named Dent. With the help of Taggart and Rosewood, Foley unravels the case, foiling Dent's plans and bringing him to justice. Along the way, Foley faces danger, confronts an impostor, and deals with a new incompetent police chief. In the end, justice is served and Foley returns to Detroit.
