A fun day at the beach. While Mickey, Horace, and Clarabelle go swimming, or try to, Minnie lays out a picnic. Pluto discovers why you shouldn't chase a crab. Everyone digs in to lunch. Mickey throws Pluto a string of sausages; he dives after them, and comes up with an angry octopus instead, who crashes into the picnic. Everyone fights the octopus, and Mickey finally manages to send it out to sea by throwing an anchor like a lasso.
During World War II, Daffy Duck wreaks havoc in a junkyard, encountering surreal situations and fighting against the forces of war. Along the way, he encounters Adolf Hitler, Hirohito, and various military propaganda.
In a circus tent, Betty, Bimbo and Koko demonstrate some gadgets reminiscent of TV ads; an animated sewing machine gets out of hand.
As usual, Casper, the Friendly Ghost, is out to make friends but the only creature willing to respond is a fat turkey worrying his wattles off about the upcoming Thanksgiving Day.
