In 1984, Diana Prince, also known as Wonder Woman, works as a senior anthropologist at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. She meets Barbara, who idolizes her. They both unknowingly use an ancient artifact to fulfill their desires. A businessman named Maxwell Lord covets the artifact's power and becomes a powerful figure, triggering chaos and conflict.
