Mimic 2 (2001) is a horror/sci-fi thriller set in New York City, where giant insect-like creatures called Mimics are terrorizing the city. A police officer is killed while investigating the creatures, leading a school janitor to impersonate him to solve the mystery. As the Mimics continue to wreak havoc, the janitor teams up with an entomologist to try and stop them before they take over the city.

When a famous theater critic slips and injures his hip, he becomes an uninvited houseguest in a small town. Chaos ensues as he disrupts the lives of the residents, falls in love, and causes a series of mishaps.
