Sato's re-imagining of In a Grove, on which Rashomon was based. In this version, instead of a web of lies and agendas, we get a web of desires, perversions like incest, and occult phenomenon like an oracle-demon, hallucinations, and human sacrifice. Once again, the story starts with a detective trying to unravel the story of a man and a woman encountering a bandit-rapist in the woods, but the real story keeps turning out to be unfathomable as layer upon layer of strange motives and events keep turning up.
Gorgeous vampires are thirsty for blood. Yumi and Seiji are a happy engaged couple and the envy of everyone, but Yumi suddenly disappears one day. A year later, a woman named Nami, looking exactly like Yumi, comes along in front of Seiji who’s frantically looked for her. But adding to the mystery even more is the presence of a strange woman named Luna, who’s always by Nami’s side.
A family is on summer vacation. Their adolescent son is a mixture of bored and horny. A yellow jacket wasp joins them in their car and then at their vacation campsite. A sultry young woman is doing laundry outdoors just as a brief, torrential downpour occurs and the wasp allows her to reveal, much to the young man's delight, her special knowledge of how to deal with insect bites.
