A Countess from Hong Kong is a comedy and romance film set in the 1960s. The story follows a countess who disguises herself as a refugee and stows away on a luxury liner. She is discovered by a Russian diplomat who helps her avoid being deported. As the two spend more time together, they begin to fall in love, leading to a sham marriage and a series of hilarious and romantic misadventures onboard the ship.
