With the help of a Chinese agent, Bond discovers Carver's plan to destroy the Chinese government with a stolen missile. Bond and the Chinese agent board Carver's stealth ship to prevent the missile from being fired. Wai Lin is captured, but Bond devises a plan to save her and destroy the ship. In the end, Bond and Wai Lin share a romantic moment as they are rescued.
