Mickey, Donald, and Goofy find themselves in a magical world when they discover a beanstalk leading up to a giant's castle. They must rescue the golden harp and save their friend, Willie the Giant, from an evil spell.

A night watchman is being bludgeoned, as a safe is cracked open in the offices of the District Food Controller. A list of wartime foods to be rationed is stolen, and the police fear gangsters are planning to sell the foods on the black market. As the office charwoman, Old Mother Riley's fingerprints are all over the safe, and she becomes the police's number one suspect. To prove her innocence, Mother Riley turns detective, adopting various methods and disguises to track down the villains.

Audrey continues reading her book while the dishes wash themselves. She is interrupted by a radio broadcast announcing that a flying saucer has been spotted in the sky. Audrey imagines a little green man flying over the city in a cup and saucer, disintegrating everything in its path, She then pictures herself as the hero and visualizes ways to stop the alien attack.
