A senior London bureaucrat, Rodney Williams, receives a grim cancer diagnosis and decides to take time off work. He meets Mr. Sutherland, an insomniac writer, and they spend a night on the town. Williams tries to tell his son about his condition but fails. As his health worsens, he spends time with a former colleague, Miss Harris. Determined to do some good before he dies, Williams rallies his office to build a children's playground. He passes away shortly after its completion.

In the Bible, Saul persecuted Christ's church and its followers. Overcome parallels this story. Set in modern day, a young man in high school mistreats anyone good around him, until he has a fateful accident which changes his life. Now he must make amends to all those around him, and try to become the person he knew he should have been the whole time. That’s right: Overcome (Turn Around 2007) has a twin! All they had to do was change some of the evangelical themes to Mormon themes. But also for some bizarre reason, they changed all the names of the cast members, even though they are the same people. Apparently they thought that by changing the names, you would never know this was the same movie.

London gentleman David spends a day and all his cash to bring his one-night stand a presentation folder at her office in Liverpool, only to be rather rudely ignored a minute later. After a night on the streets, he meets diner waitress Tina, who takes pity on him. David wins spending money at the race tracks and decides to spend it on a playful tour of the city guided by Tina, which is mainly an excuse to get close romantically and learn about each-other.
