In Her Shoes follows the story of two sisters, Maggie and Rose, who have been estranged for years. Maggie is a free spirit and irresponsible, while Rose is a successful lawyer and more conventional. When Maggie sleeps with Rose's boyfriend, it further strains their relationship. However, they start to reconnect when they discover their grandmother, whom they thought was dead, is still alive. As they spend time with their grandmother, the sisters confront their differences and begin to find common ground.
