Wealthy young man Ramon Laredo is abducted and put into service aboard a ship commanded by a none-too-scrupulous smuggler. During World War II, the Canadian Navy gathered a troupe of diverse performers (dancers, comedians, singers, musicians) from its ranks and sent them off to entertain their shipmates, and the show/revue ultimately played London's Hioopodrome. The film is a fictional/fact mixture of the adventures of the troupe members, and the ending, only part filmed in Technicolor, is primarily the Revue as seen at the Hippodrome.

The Pirate connives with the Councillor and the Flunky is captured. But the Pirate is also captured and given his choice of marrying the Queen or death in a boiling pot. The Flunky escapes in a boat. The Pirate chooses getting boiled over marrying the Queen. A stick of dynamite is placed under the pot and blows the Pirate onto the boat with the Flunky.
