When the story begins, you learn that Torchy's boss has a problem with his blood pressure and the doctor recommends he take a rest. So, he plans on taking some of his staff with him to a mansion in Florida. However, one of his clients offers the use of his place and the boss accepts. Torchy doesn't like this, as the place is the old Link Estate...the same place where Mr. Link was murdered years ago!
A little girl seemed to have disappeared into thin air. Fifteen years after, the true reason comes into light. Her cousin Henri makes up his mind and decides it is time for action. In order to help the girl escaping the vigilant gypsy home of 'Cirque Bartoli', both get caught and end up being chased by the gypsies. (Nothing more is heard about this, but the finale involves a fire emergency at the theater.) In the opening scene the community players rehearse at the home of the director, a pompous lady named Mrs. Winters. Harry, of course, is The Stage Hand.
