Roy Munson, a former professional bowler with a promising career, loses his hand and his livelihood after a bowling alley accident. Years later, he discovers a talented Amish man named Ishmael who has never held a bowling ball before. Roy becomes Ishmael's mentor and together they set out on a journey to win a bowling championship and overcome their personal obstacles.
