The Eternal Jew is a propaganda film produced by Nazi Germany in 1940 that presents an anti-Semitic perspective on Jews. The film portrays Jews as social parasites and depicts them engaging in usury, tax evasion, and other negative behaviors. It uses distorted images and false information to promote Nazi ideology and ethnic hatred.
In the final days of World War II, a group of soldiers embark on a dangerous mission to liberate a small town from enemy control. As they face the horrors of war and confront their own mortality, they must come together to carry out the last assault that could change the course of history.
The Maysles' third film about the artists sees them trying to get three projects off the ground: wrapping the Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris; wrapping the Reichstag; and surrounding eleven man-made islands in Florida with pink plastic sheets. As the latter is the only one that gets approval, it gets the bulk of this film.
