For Those in Peril tells the story of Aaron, a young man who becomes an outcast in his small fishing village after being the sole survivor of a tragic boating accident. Haunted by the death of his brother, Aaron is consumed by grief and tries to make sense of what happened. As he struggles to fit in and find his place in the community, he is confronted by the sea devil, who taunts him and threatens his life. In a gripping climax, Aaron must confront his fears and reconcile with the past.

The Stooges join the war effort by enlisting at Merchant Marines. While aboard, they have a brief run-in with (a secret German Nazi officer) Lt. Dungen (Vernon Dent), and then mistake a torpedo for a beached whale. Moe says they have to kill it, and it promptly explodes. After being lost at sea for several days, they come across the SS Schicklgruber and climb aboard. Now with fully grown beards, they come across Lt. Dungen again, who does not recognize them. After realizing they are on a German war ship they eventually overtake the crew and toss them overboard.

The gang puts a phony absent note on their teacher's desk so they can go to the circus, then have to get it back when they find out that the class was going on a field trip to the circus anyway.
