In the 19th century Pennsylvania village of Covington, mysterious creatures live in the surrounding woods. The villagers have an understanding with the creatures to stay out of the woods. When Lucius, a young man from the village, requests to leave and find medicines, his request is denied. However, after a series of events, Lucius is gravely injured and Ivy, his love interest, goes on a journey to find medicines in the towns beyond the village.
