In 'Sufferin' Cats! (1943)', Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse engage in their classic game of cat and mouse, filled with comedic mishaps and chases. Tom tries various methods to catch Jerry, including hitting him with a metal pipe, a frying pan, and a garden hose. Jerry retaliates by tying a knot in Tom's tail and giving him a pie in the face. The cartoon ends with Tom and Jerry getting trapped in a tree, unable to catch each other.
