Six unemployed steel workers in Northern England form a male striptease act called 'the full monty' in order to earn money and pay their bills. With the help of Gaz's son Nathan, the group rehearses and auditions for the act. They encounter various challenges, including financial struggles, confrontations with their ex-wife, and a run-in with the police. Despite these obstacles, the group finally performs their strip act and has a lot of fun. The film ends with their successful performance.
