In 'The Landlord,' a rich young man named Elgar moves into a tenement building in a predominantly Black neighborhood in Brooklyn. He begins to experience the realities of urban blight, racism, and class differences as he interacts with his tenants and becomes involved in their lives. Elgar's journey leads him to question his own identity and confront the social issues of the time.
