With the house closing in on them, the trio manages to force the house to vomit them outside. They then confront Mr. Nebbercracker, who reveals the tragic story of his wife's death and the creation of the monster house. In a final showdown, DJ throws dynamite into the chimney, destroying the house and freeing the soul of Constance. The movie ends with DJ, Chowder, and Jenny returning the toys to their owners and going trick-or-treating.
