Tale of the Nine Tailed is a fantasy drama TV show that follows the story of a nine-tailed fox, or gumiho, and a female TV producer who gets involved in an investigation of supernatural occurrences. A college student, Lee Dam, accidentally swallows the marble of a Gumiho (nine-tailed fox) who has been hiding in the human world. As a result, they end up living together in the same house and must navigate through their supernatural cohabitation. Lee Dam and the Gumiho face various challenges, including adapting to each other's lifestyles, managing their differences, and dealing with the consequences of their intertwined destinies.

For the sin of falling in love with a human, Gumiho gives birth to a daughter and enters the world of humans in order to protect her young, tender child. However, Yun Dusu, the man who chose her, is the father of a dying daughter. In order to obtain a liver to save his beloved, illness-stricken daughter, he is forced to do the unthinkable: to kill Yeoni, the daughter of Gumiho. Unaware of this fact, Gumiho opens her heart to Dusu, who protects her as if she is family, and once again falls in love with a human, ultimately suffering for it. And the one man who falls in love with Gumiho, a nonhuman with more humanity than any human, realizes he truly loves her and attempts to make their love work.

This KBS drama is about a rare fox race whose appearance is that of humans. They survive by eating dead human livers. The drama revolves around conflicts between being a fox warrior and loving a human being.

The Kumiho family circus in town -- and with it, apparently, a mysterious murderer. The members of motherless family aren’t helping their case with their strange remarks about humans and their initial performances, cavalcades of dismemberment and torrents of blood which terrify the local kids. When the sleazy reprobate on the run from mobsters stumbles into their eerie household, he soon finds himself a little too enthusiastically involved in their scheming after human flesh—and involved with the sexy elder-sister fox spirit as well!
