Ginger is a 15-year-old girl who goes on vacation to a Greek island with her mother. During the trip, Ginger experiences a sexual awakening and becomes determined to lose her virginity. The movie explores themes of love, seduction, and the comedy of errors that ensue during her journey.

The film is an adaptation of the novel of the same title by Takashi Kitajima.
