In 1999, a retired legal counselor writes a novel based on an unresolved homicide case and his unrequited love. The story follows the investigation of a brutal rape and murder in Buenos Aires in 1974. As the counselor, along with his alcoholic assistant and a new lawyer, dig deeper, they uncover leads and eventually catch the killer. However, justice is short-lived as political violence and corruption release the murderer. The counselor's friend is killed, and he goes into self-imposed exile. Years later, he discovers that the widower of the victim has been keeping the murderer chained in his home for over 24 years, seeking his own form of justice. With closure, the counselor rekindles his love and finally responds to his former superior's feelings.

"Forza Bastia" is a 26-minute film documenting a UEFA Cup match between PSV Eindhoven and French club SC Bastia at the Furiani Stadium in 1978. Jacques Tati directed the piece at the request of friend Gilberto Trigano – the President of the Bastia club at that time. It was subsequently shelved and kept in storage until Tati's daughter Sophie Tatischeff eventually assembled the footage for release in 2002.
