The Summer of Sangaile is a coming-of-age drama and romance film set in Lithuania. Sangaile, a shy and timid teenager, meets Auste, a bold and confident girl who loves aerobatics. As Sangaile learns to fly and overcome her fears, she also discovers her passion for fashion and art. The two girls form a close bond, exploring their sexuality and experiencing the ups and downs of young love. Through their relationship, Sangaile finds the courage to pursue her dreams and embrace her true self.

The lucky Baron wins a boat in a card game and takes off with his former lover to find new adventures. Adverse circumstances land them in a small town, where the Baron's seafaring companion leaves for more attractive scenery offered by a wealthy local man. Meanwhile, there is a certain charming cafe owner that the Baron finds irresistible -- at least for awhile.
