A fading celebrity decides to use a black market drug, a cell-replicating substance that temporarily creates a younger, better version of herself.
Sarah, a depressed alcoholic with a terminal illness, opts for cloning herself. When her clone recovers and refuses to be decommissioned, Sarah is forced to engage in a publicized duel with her. As the duel approaches, Sarah trains in self-defense and combat, vowing to kill her clone. However, after bonding with her clone, they decide to escape together. But Sarah's clone poisons her, presenting herself as the original during the duel. Sarah's clone is eventually declared the original and takes over her life, but she feels just as unfulfilled as before.
James and Em Foster vacation at a beach resort in La Tolqa. An accident exposes the resort's perverse subculture of hedonistic tourism, reckless violence, and surreal horrors. James pays to have a clone killed in his place, while Em wants to leave. James is introduced to a group of tourists who pay to watch their doubles get slaughtered. They encourage James to engage in criminal behavior and abuse the resort staff. James tries to flee but is captured. He beats his clone to death and is rewarded by Gabi. James decides to stay at the closed resort.
