Vladimír Michálek chose an unconventional adaptation of Franz Kafka's novel for his feature debut. The film provided Czech comedian Jirí Lábus with a new kind of role: that of the despotic uncle of a main hero Karel Rossman (Martin Dejdar).

After his newfound success, however, his old girlfriend and her new boyfriend decide to blackmail Ted for a search of the money. His problems intensify as memories start returning -- and he thinks he killed the other driver.
