Max Renn is the president of a sleazy Toronto UHF television station specializing in adult entertainment. He discovers a dangerous and bizarre broadcast called Videodrome, which depicts brutal torture and murder. As he investigates the origins of Videodrome, he uncovers a political ideology movement with violent goals. Renn begins experiencing hallucinations and realizes that Videodrome is actually a carrier of a malicious broadcast signal that causes the viewer to develop a malignant brain tumor. He must fight against the Spectacular Optical Corporation, the producer of Videodrome, to save himself and defeat the conspiracy.
