In 'A Bird in a Guilty Cage,' Sylvester the cat tries to catch Tweety Bird, who takes refuge in a department store after hours. Sylvester goes through various hilarious attempts to catch Tweety, including roller-skating, dynamite, and disguising himself as a mannequin. In the end, he is unsuccessful as Tweety cleverly outwits him.

A mannequin in the city dump improvises a working piano from junk, then plays and sings the title song. Various discarded items join in with song or dance.

Told in a musical-comedy format, this cartoon is the story of two department store mannequins who fall in love, become engaged and plan to marry.
