A certain summer day, as the cicadas sing loudly. A man with no money and no place to belong tries to end his life, however is unable to take the last step. While wavering between life and death, he sees a gourmet food program on television, and realising he's never once eaten crab in his life decides that "For my last day on this Earth, I'll eat crab". Settings his sights on the wife who lives in a high-class neighbourhood that he happened across in a library, he forces his way into her home. And thus, he demands money from her, however things go in an unexpected direction.

A team of scientists travel to a remote island to study its unique ecosystem, but they soon discover that the island is inhabited by giant mutated crabs. As the scientists struggle to survive and find a way off the island, they uncover the horrifying truth behind the creatures' origins and must find a way to stop them before they take over the world.

In close-ups and extreme close-ups, we watch two small species of marine crustaceans, the slender long-legged stenorhynchus and the clumsy, short-legged hyas. To blend in, both cover themselves with found objects, such as algae and sponges. We watch them move, eat, greet each other, and fight. They have small mandibles and large claws. Near them are spirograph worms, 6 inches long, with a plume of branchiae that fan out like exploding fireworks. We see vibrating cilia, 0.001 mm long, on the branchiae, sending food toward the mouth at the plume's center. Chopin's music and an off-screen narrator suggest we're watching a ballet.

Bill, an ex-boxer, is a failure in life but has no idea what to do about it -- until he meets local dodgy businessman Hamid 'Anything-U-Need' Choudhury. Hamid convinces Bill that there is serious money to be made in man vs animal boxing bouts. Bill cashes in his life savings to buy two meters of living, breathing, armor-plated giant mutant mantis shrimp with a smashing right hook, and sets off for London to fulfill his dreams. Along for the ride are his best friend Steve, ex-condom-factory employee and amateur boxer, Steve's highly-strung girlfriend Shaz, and a misunderstood, club-clawed crustacean who is not as stupid as it seems...

This short tells the story of one crab who became a jilted lover. Even among crustaceans, love stories can end badly.
