After his master dies, a peasant squire, fueled by his desire for food and glory, creates a new identity for himself as a knight. He competes in jousting tournaments, wins consecutive victories, and falls in love with Lady Jocelyn. However, his identity is revealed, and he is arrested and placed in the stocks. With the support of his loyal friends, he faces his punishment and ultimately proves his worth. The film is set in medieval times but incorporates anachronistic elements such as modern music. It explores themes of courage, friendship, love, and the pursuit of a dream.
Father of English literature, the poet Geoffrey Chaucer, involved in storytelling a rainy night at an inn.
Based on Geoffrey Chaucer’s classic poetry. For attacking a young woman, an arrogant knight of King Arthur’s court is sentenced to death if he cannot answer the question “what do women most desire?” He travels far and wide with no success until he meets an old woman who promises him the answer, but at a price.
A contemporary re-imagining of Geoffrey Chaucer's "The Canterbury Tales". Dr. Lesley Hopps strains to hide an enormous debt from her husband and seeks the aid of her longtime friend David [Shipman's Tale]. Rick Fuller struggles to cope with the return of his brother Sam, fresh from prison[The Pardoner's Tale]. These stories coalesce around Detectives Jeffreys and Kline as they investigate the murder of a young woman within her own home.
