Pluto's Judgement Day is a cartoon in which Pluto dreams that he has been sentenced to Hell for chasing a cat and accidentally being flattened by a steamroller. In Hell, Pluto is put on trial and defended by Mickey Mouse. He is ultimately saved when a mouse tricks the devil with a mousetrap, releasing Pluto and sending the devil flying into a vat of boiling tar. Pluto wakes up to find it was all a dream.

In The Whalers, characters engage in humorous situations while attempting to catch a whale. The story involves water thrown in the face, ducks, pelicans, pants on fire, ocean adventures, matches, half-dressed cartoon animals, goofy dog characters, Donald Duck characters, Mickey Mouse characters, whaling activities, cannons, buckets, boats, and various 1930s cartoon animals. The film also features cartoon pelicans, cartoon seagulls, whale riders, telescopes, characters swallowed by a whale, sunken boats, smoke from mouths, seagulls, sandwiches, ropes, iris shots, hats, harpoons, gunpowder, fire, characters' mouths and eyes filling the screen, burns on the butt, breathing fire, bells, barrels, anchors, mice, dogs, cartoon whales, cartoon mice, cartoon ducks, characters setting themselves on fire, and ropes tied to ankles.

Flannery, a railway agent does everything by the book. He gets into a scrape with a customer, McMorehouse, who wants to pay 44 cents freight for two guinea pigs which he considers pets. Flannery, however, considers them pigs (freight 48 cents), a decision he begins to regret when the animals begin to reproduce.

Ub Iwerks dusts off the skeletons from his early-Disney days and puts them to work at Columbia… in a graveyard replete with eerie owls and surrealistic bats, skeletons begin to rise from their graves and form a loosely-jointed band.

Late in the evening, just as a skeleton puts out its cat for the night, the masked Phantom stalks the graveyard, pausing only to insult an overly inquisitive owl. The Phantom enters the local opera house and falls in love with Kitty, a feline singer who is terribly jealous of the star of the show, a husky-voiced hippo. The Phantom falls in love with Kitty at first sight. For her sake, he sabotages the hippo (by popping and deflating her). Then he puts a phonograph player down Kitty's skirt. She walks out and pretends the recording is her own voice. Even though the record skips and, moments later, slows down to a stop (forcing the Phantom to crank the machine for her), Kitty is a hit. But does she appreciate the Phantom? No. Backstage, she jumps into the arms of Oswald the Rabbit. Enraged, the Phantom grabs Kitty and takes her down with him to the catacombs underneath the stage. Oswald goes on a rescue mission.
