Scarlet Street (1945) is a film-noir crime drama about an amateur artist who falls in love with a femme fatale. As their romance intensifies, he becomes embroiled in a murder plot and finds himself trapped in a web of deceit and despair.

A medical student named Peter is on his way to a prestigious internship when he gets stranded in Humboldt County, a remote area known for its marijuana production. He ends up staying with a quirky couple who are heavily involved in the local drug-dealing scene. As Peter immerses himself in the marijuana culture, he begins to question his own ambitions and priorities.

Haruta is handsome and smart, Chika is bright and naive. When they were children, they were friends until Haruta's family moved away while he was in the 3rd grade. They meet again during a high school entrance ceremony. After all of these years, Chika is eager to join the wind instrument club. Due to an incident, the wind instrument club is about to be disbanded. Chika can't give up the flute so she attracts Haruta to her side and tries to recruit members from the wind instrument club. The group attempts to solve various cases taking place at their school while they plan to take part in a contest.

This musical reworking of Too Many Husbands (1940), features Grable as a top singer and dancer who's been widowed by WW II. She marries her late husband's songwriting partner, Gower Champion, but the new marriage is thrown for a loop when Lemmon, her first husband, turns up very much alive and eager to see Grable.
