Woman wonders why her little pet birds keep disappearing. Sylvester the cat knows, but other than burping feathers, he's not saying. But it looks like he's met his match when the woman orders another bird from the pet shop: a little yellow canary named "Tweety".
Tom is on the canals of Venice, singing opera. He ends up on a cruise ship, where another cat tricks him out of Jerry (who Tom has just caught), then mirrors his every move. Eventually the cats start chasing each other.

Jerry tricks Tom into falling off the end of another pier, and right into the shark's path again. The shark manages to get Tom into a very precarious position, barely holding the jaws apart. Jerry takes pity, and dumps a shaker full of pepper into the shark, which ends up on the processing line and stuffed into a huge can. Tom is unrepentant, so Jerry tricks him with a fake shark fin.
When Tom accidentally ingests a mysterious potion, he gains super speed and the ability to change size, leading to hilarious and chaotic adventures with Jerry the mouse.
Tom and Jerry engage in a comedic chase and fight as they struggle to get a good night's sleep. Jerry's playful antics and Tom's relentless pursuit cause chaos and sleeplessness, leading to hilarious and surreal situations.
