On Halloween, a group of friends visit an extreme haunted house attraction called Haunt. However, their excitement quickly turns into terror as they realize that the house is more than just a fun-filled scare. Following the failure of her first book and the collapse of her engagement, Kate Conklin is invited to her alma mater to give a reading. While there, she reconnects with her college friends and attracts the attention of both her old writing professor and a younger student. Through these interactions, Kate reflects on her past choices and finds inspiration to move forward with her life.
