Shigurui: Death Frenzy is a dark anime TV show set in 17th century Japan, filled with brutality, violence, and surrealism. It follows the story of two samurai, Gennosuke and Seigen, as they face off against each other and engage in a deadly battle. Dialogues were shot in both Swedish and English with hopes to sell the series internationally. One hundred thirty episodes were filmed but Swedish Television cut it into 260 episodes. Ocean Ave. received bad reviews from the start.
