In the 1970s, Roger Sharpe, a struggling writer in New York, discovers that pinball has been banned for decades due to gambling. Inspired to change the law, he writes an article and a book about pinball with the help of his love interest, Ellen, and her son. As Roger fights for the legalization of pinball and tries to maintain his relationship with Ellen, he learns the importance of a fairer world and finds balance in his life.
