Bud, David, and Bill are arrested and tried in court, but ultimately the entire town becomes colored and the people are introduced to the rest of the world. Jennifer chooses to stay behind in a neighboring town, and David returns home using the remote control. In Pleasantville, the citizens and Jennifer enjoy their new freedoms and colors, realizing that they don't know what will happen next.
