The story, if you want to call it that is about a husband who tells his wife he's going hunting but actually sneaks off to fool around in Atlantic City. While the wife, says she's going to Washington D.C. but is also sneaking off the Atlantic City. once there the husband goes to a scenic photographer who fakes pictures to cover for straying spouses. Later the pictures are delivered to the hotel where all parties literally run into each other!

Within two weeks, Sgt. Hardbutt has to clean up the crime in the streets before the Governor arrives. Hardbutt is forced to supplement his overworked staff with civilian "recruits" who he schemes to use to a disastrous advantage.

Would-be photographer Harry gets his big chance when a newspaper wants pictures of a prominent gangster and his girl. Harry and another photographer first visit the gangster's girl, and then wait at the scene of an expected robbery. But before they can get the pictures they want, they must first distract a policeman whose presence would otherwise deter the gangster from appearing.
