A nurse named Amy Loughren forms a friendship with a new colleague, Charles Cullen. However, when patients start dying under suspicious circumstances, Amy discovers that Charles is a serial killer who tampered with IV fluid bags to administer lethal doses of insulin and Digoxin. With the help of investigators, Amy gathers evidence and eventually convinces Charles to confess. Charles is arrested and sentenced to life in prison.
