A messenger of the special delivery service does their usual job: delivers orders to people's houses. It'd be an ordinary story, if it wasn't for the deliveries themselves- these are sheer emotions. Any person can send real joy or love or any flashbacks to their addressee - messenger will deliver everything at one's command. But will one feel better?

During the Soviet-Afghan War, in the days when general secretary of the Communist Party Leonid Breznev, in a military hospital a young lieutenant wounded almost to death meets a young military nurse, tired almost to death. One meeting. One night. One candle. A short from Vladimir Koptsev, Alexander Sokurov’s pupil.

The first Chechen war broke Russia in the mid-nineties. The war was lost, the country and the army was damaged. The recovery turned out to be incredibly difficult. Former soldiers - veterans of the famous "Wild Brigade" - cope with this trauma as best they can. For example, with their own hands and at their own expense, they decide to build a monument to fallen comrades at the gates of their long-abandoned military unit. Over and over again, they remind themselves of what they have experienced, not understanding how to break out of this vicious circle of war memories that still determine their whole life. A vicious circle in which not only a person can get lost, but the whole country can get lost by repeating the history and unleashing senseless wars.

This is a story about the children’s instructor in hand-to-hand fighting who has fractured his pelvis and is now being cared for by his girl-friend. The strong and daring man, he is scared by this dependence on another person, while the protagonist is torn between the desire to help the man recover and the wish to tie him to herself forever. The protagonists live in a shared flat in St. Petersburg. The woman in the room next door listens to the song «Just Wait for Me» and keeps waiting for somebody all her life.

A member of the special police force is sent to cease a criminal. On his way he recalls how a day earlier he and his colleagues enforced order at a protest demonstration, arrested people, used bludgeons. On arrival it turns out that the «criminal» is a young opposition blogger. And the only person who has risen to his defense is his younger brother.
