The parody series "Sancho from the Ranch" was part of the St. Petersburg television program "Chameleon", curated by the famous director Yuri Mamin. The idea of this parody was that the supposedly Mexican TV series "Sancho from the Ranch" was seen by viewers in two guises at once: on the screen and behind the screen. On the screen there are heartbreaking incidents in sunny Mexico, and off the screen an ordinary Russian family is watching them with excitement – grandmother and grandfather, father and mother, daughter and son. The trick is that they also appear in exotic Mexican roles, and seem to be watching themselves.

A cyclone brings Dolly and her dog Toto from Kansas to Oz, where life does not obey the usual laws. Along her way she makes new friends: the Scarecrow straw, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion. Together they go to the Emerald City in search of the Wizard of Oz, who can help her return home.

The evil witch Mombi and the self-styled girl General Ginger have seized power in the Emerald City of Oz. The Scarecrow, along with his friends, disenchants the daughter of the last legitimate ruler of the Emerald City, Ozma, and fights for justice. And in this they are helped by the girl Dolly from Kansas, the good fairy Glinda and the scientist Woggle bug.

A group of geologists was landed in the taiga. But the guys can’t work - they gave them the wrong bits for the equipment by mistake. And the radio doesn’t work, and the helicopter is expected only in two months. And the squad leader, a young guy named Dmitry Alekseevich Ryabtsev, makes a decision - he alone goes to the nearest detachment. By taiga standards, this is not far - 20 kilometers. But when he returns, he discovers that his squad has left the camp.
