A French family comments on what's on TV tonight.
In 1987, Marcel Béliveau appeared on French TV show 'Surprise Sur Prises' and opened the doors of France to his fellow Québec comedians. Anthony Kavanagh, Michel Courtemanche, Stéphane Rousseau, Véronique Dicaire, Rachid Badouri and Sugar Sammy have all successfully tried their hand at French comedy, and the next generation of comedians is assured with Mariana Maza, Reda Saoui and Virginie Fortin. This documentary, commented by Québec and French personalities, retraces their history through hilarious sketches, cult parodies, TV and radio shows and happenings.
Thierry is a former battered child, who has managed to build himself up despite the violence he has suffered. But the childhood traumas are still present, generating anguish and a perpetual lack of self-confidence. The announcement of the imminent death of the guilty father of the brutalities, and with whom Thierry broke all relation, sounds the hour of the accounts. The moment has come for him to put his memory and his feelings in order.
Bois d'Enghien, engaged to a young girl from a good family, has to break up with Lucette Gautier, his mistress, a dilettante of salons. Not having been able to tell her of his break-up, he finds her at her fiancée's house, invited for the event. A Mexican general, jealous of his rivals, arrives and complicates the situation, as does a notary clerk, Bouzin, a singer in his spare time.

Thierry Beccaro
Thierry Beccaro (born 19 October 1956) is a French stage actor and TV presenter, with an Italian grandfather and Breton origin from his grandmother. He has a sister, younger by four years. He was primarily known to the general public as the presenter of TV game Motus on France 2 (1990-2019) . He began his radio career in 1978 as an assistant to Macha Béranger at Radio France in the copyright department. In 1981, he became a reporter for Radio Bleue, and then hosted his first radio show Grand-mère et boule de gomme.
